Today, in boating school, after making a run for the lavatory, I pulled out my phone and began to browse. My young eager mind, thinking about self-improvement while straining to push one out, suddenly remembered a small detail about the previous night. I had ordered me a large pepperoni pizza with the works from Pizza Hut and remembered seeing this small white plastic piece in the very center.

It looks like this:

Pizza saver

Obviously this was not the first time I’ve seen it, but for some reason, my mind was fixated on it and I just had to find out what it was! Maybe it was the fumes within the bathroom or the glint of the white porcelain, but my mind could not forget about it, and hence I began my journey.

After much straining physically and mentally, I had found what I needed to know. This was called a pizza saver! It turns out sometime in 1985, it had been patented by a Madam Carmela Vitale of New York, and it’s purpose was to make sure that the top of the pizza box did not collapse or touch the pizza or interfere in any way during delivery.

Ladies and gentlemen, while it was 1985, she was living in 2985. The human race has never seen such a wild invention such as this, besides possibly sliced bread. With the abstraction between the pizza box and the pizza, the customer could focus on enjoying his expensive cheesy expensive fattening dinner/lunch/breakfast.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to learn more about what I learned today while doin the duty.

Stay curious!
